Buildinghost uses no cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics. We share no data with ad networks, and we embed no third-party scripts that load without an action from you.

That is why the site carries no consent banner — there is nothing to ask about. We use only the strictly necessary storage described below.

To keep you signed in, the application stores your session in your browser’s localStorage rather than in a cookie. This is technically necessary: without it, every page reload would sign you out.

• Session key (Supabase Auth) — holds an access token and a refresh token. Kept until you sign out or the token expires.
• Selected language — remembers which language you use the interface in.

Both are read only by your own browser and are never sent to third parties. The legal basis is Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the strictly-necessary exemption), which requires no consent.

The home page carries a demo video hosted on YouTube. It does not load automatically. Only a still image and a play button are shown, together with an explicit notice.

Only when you press that button does your browser connect to youtube-nocookie.com and Google may set cookies. Pressing the button is your consent to this. If you never press it, no connection to Google is made.

You can delete the stored data at any time from your browser settings (under “Site data” or “Clear browsing data”). Deleting the session key signs you out.

Note that blocking strictly necessary storage makes signing in impossible — that is a technical limitation, not a choice on our part.

If we ever add analytics or marketing tools, we will update this page and put a consent mechanism in place before activating them. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
